Golden Acres Dog Daycare & Groom is a Division of Lighthouse Gifts & Business Incentives LLC. (A Mail Order Business.) Why? Because we had already established ourselves in the Gift Business previous to Purchasing the present property. We still service some of our wholesale customers with quality Gifts and Incentives. Some are vendor manufactured and others are custom made. We do most of that business by mail & also attend some shows. We do have a small gift shop area on site and give our guests the opportunity to purchase at discount prices.

Since opening Golden Acres, we have focused most of our attention to this business and work it full time. We are a Mom & Pop business and are dedicated to the Love and Care of Dogs of Other People and our own. We are open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 P.M. but one of us may leave for supplies or emergencies from time to time. Except for Sunday Morning when we both leave for 1- 1/2 hrs to attend our Church Service. The main focus of our business is to provide a safe, clean, dry, environment for your pets where they will be treated like you treat them at home. We are on 3 acres of tall pines and pride ourselves in keeping it a Country Atmosphere.
Our facility has Eight separated, holding kennels, that we refer to as “Hotels” and “Suites”. Each has its own ventilation fan, floor drain, elevated bed, thermostat controlled heat, & music. In addition to a half dozen kennel crates, whole facility air conditioner, whole facility ventilation fan. Each kennel is cleaned and sanitized daily and between uses. We also have (2) 10” x 40’ fenced runs for exercise, cleaned daily. Each pet being groomed is never left un-attended even for our own potty breaks as we have a bath room right in the lab area. We require a minimum of 4-5 hours for a full groom to be able to assure that the Pet is fully dry and brushed before departure so as not to expose them to the outside elements until we feel confident that they are ready. Our Groom Order (Page 2) allows for the Pet’s master to dictate how they would like the grooming done. Of course we cannot control the sudden movement of a Pet while being trimmed. That can cause a little more hair being removed than desired but we strive to not let that happen. We must also disclose that we are Groomers & Caregivers, not a Vet or Technician, but we will report any unusual findings so your own vet can advise methods of treatment If you are looking for someone to give a more personal approach to Care and Groom, Golden Acres should be at the top of your list for consideration. |
